HBA Careers in Construction
Junior HOMEARAMA® Project

The CAP-Conduit Apprenticeship Program partnered with Goshen High School and the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati’s Careers in Construction program to put together a junior HOMEARAMA® project for this year’s show. The students, with the help of several of the members from the Careers in Construction Committee, constructed two sheds for this year’s HOMEARAMA®. Stuart Cowan, with Somerset Custom Homes, led one group of students and they built the “Stud” (photo below) and John Cowan, also with Somerset Custom Homes, led the other group and they built the “Stallion”.

Through hands-on training and mentorship, the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati and Goshen High School empowered young minds with valuable skills and real-world experience in the construction industry.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Stuart Cowan and John Cowan for taking time out of their busy schedules to lead this HOMEARAMA® project with the Goshen High School students. We would also like to extend a special thanks to Pella Windows, McCabe Lumber, Sherwin-Williams and California Closets for donating the materials and investing in our community.

PLEASE TAKE A FEW MOMENTS AND VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE SHED BEFORE YOU LEAVE THIS YEAR’S SHOW. IT WILL MEAN SO MUCH TO THE STUDENTS WHO WORKED ON BOTH SHEDS.

The sheds are pictured on the People’s Choice voting cards. You can vote for your favorite shed and drop off your card in the People’s Choice tent as you exit the show.

There will also be a raffle conducted for both sheds. Be sure to purchase your raffle tickets below, or before you leave this year’s HOMEARAMA®, and YOU could win one of the two sheds!

Congratulations to Steve King for winning the “Stud” shed, and Kelly Fanta for winning the “Stallion” shed!
